So it's been brought to my attention that I haven't updated our blog since January...oops! So I'll recap the last few months and share a few pictures! The biggest change in the life of the Jarrett's is the addition of our sweet baby girl! Lillian Corrine Jarrett was born May 21st. Weighing in at 8 pounds 8 ounces... almost identical to when Ella was born. But believe me they couldn't be more different! Life has been a little crazy since Lilly was born, the week after Dave started 2nd shift and just got put back on 1sts! So for about 4 months it was just me and the girls for the afternoons and nights! I did go back to work for the summer to fulfill my extended contract with my FFA kids but am currently on maternity leave enjoying some quality time with my girls! Unfortunately I go back to work on October 15th so I'm trying to enjoy my last few weeks!
So here's the update on the girls:
Ella loves being a big sister, every morning when I got get her out of bed the first thing out of her mouth is "Where's Lilly?" So I guess she has a new favorite and it's not daddy or mommy! She's all about talking to her, playing with her and making her smile! Ella is definitely a typical two year old... all about Dora, Mickey Mouse & Strawberry Shortcake . She is quite the entertainer recently and just talks constently! We're pretty lucky that she has such a large vocabulary and can tell us what she wants. Ella has continued to go to the babysitter a couple days a week to keep her in the routine, plus she loves the "big" girls there! We also just started a Mommy & Me Dance class this week so we'll see how she responds to that!
Lilly is such a happy little girl, she's constantly smiling and jabbering at anyone around her. We just started her on rice cereal and she seems to love eating like a "big girl!" We're still working on a schedule and the sleeping thing! I guess I was spoiled with Ella who started sleeping through the night at 6 weeks... Lilly's now 4 months and the past 2 nights she has gone down around 9:30 and didn't get up until 3ish! We're hoping this trend continues and even improves if not we'll have one tired mommy once I return to work. We've also been transitioning Lilly to the sitter too... she also has gone 1-2 (partial) days a week to get all of us adjusted and give me some time to work for my parents!
So I think that's the latest and greatest with the Jarrett's... I'll try and do a better job updating the blog in the future! For now enjoy our latest pics of the girls!
